Help us Bringing Hope to Eastern Congo:

Empowering Communities Amidst Conflict

Things we’ve done

Over 125,000 pairs of shoes distributed to people in Congo, benefiting more than 90,000 children (girls and boys) and 35,000 adults (men and women).

Our Mission is

to spread the love of Christ and bring hope to the underprivileged through education, creating economic opportunities and improving public health.

“The reason behind NF giving shoes is multifaceted. Providing proper footwear to a child in Congo signifies not only meeting a basic need but also symbolizes pride in their well-being. Equipping children with shoes offers them confidence, ensuring they can journey to school comfortably, rather than navigating barefoot. Additionally, it acts as a vital safeguard against potential infections and diseases prevalent in contaminated soil, shielding their delicate soles from Africa's rugged terrain. By gifting shoes, we empower children, granting them the confidence needed to navigate life's challenges with self-assurance.”

LET’s start with what is happening there

THE PROBLEMS FACING THE DR CONGO

Political Unrest

Despite a peace deal in 2002 and the formation of a transitional government in 2003, ongoing violence perpetrated by armed groups against civilians in the eastern region has continued, largely due to poor governance, weak institutions, and rampant corruption.

4.5 Million People Displaced

Due to ongoing war and conflict, 4.5 Million people have become displaced and forced to flee from their homes. With a total population of 93 Million people (equivalent to 1.15% of the total world population), the median age in the DR Congo is only 17 years old.

Rising Violence & Needs

As millions around the world celebrate historic advances in global connectivity, entire populations are being left behind and the consequences are dire. In hidden corners of our world, thousands of families live in extreme isolation and lack basic safety. With no way to call for help, they are targets of violence and exploitation that threaten their very existence.

REMINDING THE PEOPLE of the CONGO,
God Sees, God Knows and God Cares.

Mungu anaona. Mungu anajua. Mungu anajali.

How we are solving these issues and bringing hope and joy to the DR Congo

We believe that none of us are truly free until all of us are free. By working hand-in-hand with respected local change makers, we develop innovative and dynamic programs that protect communities that are threatened.

We hold shoe drives all of over the country to be able to send the supplies back to the people in the DR Congo. Most children don’t own a pair of shoes until they are at least 10 years old.

We have a goal to build a community center in the DR Congo to equip the people there with job skills, to help those that need aid and so much more.

There are so many ways you can get involved and be part of these opportunitIes to bring hope TO THE PEOPLE IN THE DR CONGO. FIND OUT MORE BELOW

Ntibonera Foundation is a non-profit Christian organization that was founded by three brothers. Emmanuel, John and Baraka Ntibonera are Liberty University alumni. The reason they named the foundation under their last name is because "Ntibonera" itself means a surprise in a good way, and they want the work of the foundation to be a wonderful surprise to people that have lost hope in the Democratic Republic of Congo and to Africa as a whole.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

WOMEN ARE ESSENTIAL to lasting CHANGE.

Women make up 80% of the DR Congo Population. Women and children tend to experience the most challenges when conflict arises. These women are not afforded the opportunity to have feminine supplies. We work with amazing organizations such as Gleaning from the World who provide supplies and kits for the women to have access to feminine supplies. We are in the process of planning a womens program where they can use sewing machines to make these kits.
